Henry Allmand

I am the Chief Executive of the Buckinghamshire Community Foundation, also known as Heart of Bucks. This charity plays a leading role in the county’s non-profit sector, working with private individuals, trusts, the public sector, and businesses to advise on their philanthropic activity. We distribute grants to a wide range of charities and community groups. I sit on the steering groups for ‘Buckinghamshire Funders’ and the ‘Bucks Data Exchange’, as well as the ‘VCSE Partnership Board’. I am a Non-Executive Director for Ngage Solutions, and a Trustee of Hope After Harm.

Since inception in 2000, Heart of Bucks has distributed over £15m to small, grassroots charities and community groups, all working to make Buckinghamshire a better place. Recently, the charity has started making grants directly to individuals, either for financial emergencies, or bursary awards to local young people.
