Stella Kubale / Chilterns Neuro Centre
The Chilterns Neuro Centre is a local charity based in Wendover, which supports people affected by multiple sclerosis (MS), Parkinson’s and stroke survivors.
The Centre was founded in 1985 as the Chilterns MS Centre but, in 2022, began a pilot programme to open its services to people with conditions other than MS, starting with Parkinson’s and stroke survivors. In 2023, the pilot became permanent and the Centre’s name changed.
We currently support over 650 members. The services we offer go above and beyond those the NHS can provide. Our modern, purpose-built Centre offers many different therapies, workshops and treatments to help people manage their conditions.
Our members each pay £25 per year to support our running costs and they receive our services for free, but there’s still a huge amount to fundraise. We rely on the generous donations of our local community, to help members live life to the full.
